Alfa Roméo 33 Stradale
THE NEW “FUORISERIE” LIMITED EDITION
TRIBUTE TO THE 1967’S MODEL
Alfa Romeo is pleased to announce the rebirth of the "fuoriserie" 33 Stradale, a true "manifesto" of the Italian brand's expertise - today and tomorrow - in terms of style and driving experience. Made in just 33 exclusive examples, using a unique artisanal process, the new "two-seater" coupé combines the heritage and future of the brand, a symbol of noble Italian sportiness. For a dream to become reality, the essential ingredient is a good dose of courage and a pinch of healthy madness. It's the same recipe used for the car considered by many to be one of the most beautiful of all time, the 33 Stradale, launched in 1967.
Today, with the same boldness and vision, the Alfa Romeo team has designed and developed the new 33 Stradale, an authentic work of art in motion, the fruit of the perfect alliance between beauty and technology. The brand's aim is to offer the most exciting driving experience and the immortal charm of an icon to a very select circle of enthusiasts, who have believed in this project from the outset. The new 33 Stradale was created in the brand-new Alfa Romeo "Bottega", where designers, engineers and brand historians first listened to potential buyers, then produced the car together, exactly as in the stores of Renaissance craftsmen or the workshops of the renowned Italian coachbuilders of the 1960s.
THE OUTSIDE
The new 33 Stradale's exterior design achieves a perfect balance in proportions and surface treatment, reflecting Alfa Romeo's DNA of blending aesthetics and technique. The front showcases Alfa Romeo's signature roundness and incorporates historic design elements like the "V" shape on the bonnet-fender. The sides are sleek and dynamic, featuring large air intakes for the intercooler. The distinctive feature is the unique "elytra" door opening and a wraparound sunroof, providing an airplane-like view. The rear embraces the car's powerful essence with a central V-shaped design and evolved taillights. The aerodynamics are optimized for performance, enhancing stability and efficiency.
THE INSIDE
The interior design follows a minimalistic approach with two configurations: Tributo and Alfa Corse. Controls are kept to a minimum, focusing on an engaging driving experience. A display in front of the driver offers a unique interaction, while the steering wheel is devoid of buttons, enhancing driving pleasure. The instrument panel is clear and customizable based on driving modes. The central tunnel features mechanical switches, inspired by aviation, ensuring a precise experience. The dashboard combines aluminum, carbon fiber, leather, and Alcantara for a sporty yet sophisticated look. The seats are comfortable and come with various adjustments, upholstered in Poltrona Frau leather. The same materials and colors are used throughout the interior, creating an exclusive environment. Each model also boasts a premium seven-speaker audio system for a complete sensory experience.
A unique driving experience
The Alfa Romeo team has set itself the ambitious goal of offering a driving experience as a track car, yet in a model suitable for everyday use on the road, without compromising on comfort and safety of use, including on an everyday basis. The new 33 Stradale therefore boasts the best of Alfa Romeo engineering, as seen in the double-arm suspension with active shock absorbers, and in the evolution of the 2.9 V6 engine.
The new Alfa Romeo special edition can be fitted with a V6 twin-turbo engine delivering over 620 hp or can come in a BEV configuration with over 750 hp. Performance is outstanding in both versions. The top speed is 333 km/h, and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds. The double-arm suspension with active shock absorbers and the front axle lift ensure handling and comfort. The Alfa Romeo Brake-By-Wire braking system and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes offer high-level performance.
The aluminum H-frame and carbon fiber monocoque guarantee rigidity and lightness. Again to ensure high qualities of rigidity and safety, a roof structure has been engineered in carbon fiber and aluminum, with hinged butterfly doors. The window frames are also made of carbon fiber, with the rear window in polycarbonate.
The car’s tuning will be supported by F1 driver Valtteri Bottas on the legendary Balocco track, thus bringing F1 experience into everyday driving and ensuring Alfa Romeo’s unmistakable handling.
The new “fuoriserie”
The sensual and attractive line – the work of the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile – gives this unique “fuoriserie” (‘custom-built’) car a combination of beauty and performance. With the respect due to an authentic icon, but with just as much personality and audacity, the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile began to research study its proportions and the harmony of its lines, with enrichments to its sculptural beauty with certain design elements from Alfa Romeo's new language of style. The car's proportions are fully in line with the original: the wheelbase relates to the length; the diameter of the wheels relates to the height. In addition, certain design details have changed, but the inspiration remains the same: the “brutal” rear is balanced by the sinuous front and the maximum height is not at the level of the windshield, as on any other sports car, but in the middle of the roof.
